EPC2 Contract – LNG Importation and Regasification Facility at the Delimara Power Plant

Engineering, design, manufacture, supply, procurement, transportation, erection, construction, installation, programming, testing commissioning and warranty of the LNG Importation and Regasification Facility at the Delimara Power Plant Malta.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is received from an LNG carrier, via ship to ship transfer and is stored in a Floating Storage Unit (FSU) permanently moored on a new marine jetty. The FSU is provided as a means to store LNG (at cryogenic temperatures and atmospheric pressures) to buffer between the discontinuous shipping cycle and the natural gas send-out to meet annual requirements. The LNG is then transferred to the onshore regasification facility for processing.
