Τhe contract was signed between Attiko Metro S.A. and J&P-AVAX S.A. – GHELLA S.p.A. – ALSTOM TRANSPORT S.A. Joint Venture for the construction of the Haidari – Piraeus Line 3 extension.
This project constitutes an investment in Piraeus and other municipalities in the wider area.
The project includes the design, public works construction, supply, installation, testing, commissioning of the electromechanics and railway equipment, and project maintenance.
The proposed extension length of Line 3 from Haidari Forest to the Dimotiko Theatro Forest is approximately 7.5km and includes six new stations.
Ventilation/blast shafts are also included; the shafts are located in the areas on either side of each station and are either incorporated into each station or constitute separate structures in the vicinity of the station.
The remaining three extension stations, Maniatika, Piraeus, and Dimotiko Theatro are scheduled to be delivered in October 2022.
